Weddings, Renewal of Vows and Commitment Ceremonies

Wedding Ceremonies

Congratulations!

Well done on finding someone who thinks you are fab, and finding them fab too.

Now as you decide between cakes and dresses, venues and dates, don’t forget the fundamentals: the actual ceremony.

Wedding Ceremony Details

Not sure what a Wedding Celebrant does? Go here and find out. Don’t worry, this page will be waiting when you get back.

Get the admin done, aka the legal part, at your local registry office and let us get chatting preferably over some sort of tea and cake.

There will be many questions, so I get to know you and your ceremony wishes. As soon as this is done, then the writing begins.

Don’t worry about a thing as you get to check drafts of the ceremony along the way until we are all super pleased with it and can’t wait to share it with your family and friends.

My favourite bit is getting you two to give me secret info so I can help you write surprise vows for each other. That way, it isn’t just your guests that get the big ceremony reveal.

There are 4 main options for the ceremony, and each can be tweaked to your tastes. The starting price is £500.

Have a peruse and then MESSAGE ME HERE with your wedding date, questions, and wedding ceremony ideas.

Vow Renewals

“The greatest thing you’ll ever learn, is just to love and be loved in return.” And you have and that’s why you are still together – congratulations on a job well done!

Now, you have come to a point in your lives where you want to reaffirm your original wedding promises, maybe make them more fitting for how the two of you adventure through life together.

Couples often want a Vow Renewal Ceremony as an anniversary gift to themselves or after a challenging time. And what better way to celebrate and mark an occasion?

The Process

We will get together and I shall ask you many questions so I can get to know you as a couple, how you fit together, and what you want to emphasise in this ceremony that perhaps you didn’t get to focus on the first time around.

Then I scamper off to my writing den and get typing. You get to check the ceremony in its various draft forms until we are all very happy campers and the ceremony is finished.

Commitment Ceremonies

For various reasons, people don’t want to or can’t get married but they are in a serious relationship that they would like to acknowledge. This is where a Commitment Ceremony comes in.

So, for example, maybe you feel you are too young or old for an actual wedding ceremony, but you are very much in love?

Maybe you are in a relationship with more than one other person and are rocking the polyamorous flag?

Or maybe you were meant to move across the world to start your fabulous new life together, but a pesky pandemic got in the way and now you are trapped in separate countries trying to gather evidence for your visa application and this would work a treat…as a very random example.

As mentioned earlier, this is where a Commitment Ceremony comes in.

The Process

You get to share the love and show your nearest and dearest that this relationship is the real deal.

We meet up, share tea and cake, and you tell me how you got together and what you would like in your Commitment Ceremony.

I will, no doubt, ask a number of questions so I can understand how to shape your ceremony. Then I dash off and begin typing with earnest. From time to time you will check drafts of the ceremony to make sure you are happy bunnies. Once we are all happy, the ceremony is go!

There are 4 main options for the ceremony, and each can be tweaked to your tastes. The starting price is £500.

Happy couples & families.

Wedding - Llandegla Forest, Wales

Having a celebrant led wedding allowed us to have a tailored ceremony for both our personalities. Sarah worked with us as a couple on the ceremony and individually on a set of vows that reflected exactly how we feel about each other but in our own individual ways. Our vows were a surprise to each other on the day.

Sarah was approachable from the start and instantly understood where we were coming from. It was like Sarah took our thoughts and turned them into words in ways we couldn’t have done ourselves and we wouldn’t change a thing.

Sarah was supportive throughout and on the day was a calming influence. Thank you for helping make our big day so special!

Naming Ceremony - Leeds

We couldn’t have been happier with the service that Sarah provided. Sarah tailored it beautifully to make it personal and able to reflect our family’s personality. She’s so kind and calm which is perfect in the midst of the panic that comes with organizing any event. The ceremony went perfectly, and everyone commented on how wonderful Sarah was. Thank you for making our day so special.

Vow Renewal - St Helens, Merseyside

Sarah from the start was friendly, meeting with us a couple of times to understand us as a couple to be able to write our ceremony, and gave us the chance to change anything we were not happy with.

On the day Sarah was lovely, she came to see how we were and talked us through what was to happen.

Our ceremony itself which she had written was absolutely perfect, we couldn’t have asked for anything better, and we have a treasured copy she gave us to keep.

I would 100% wholeheartedly recommend Sarah.
