What personal data I collect and why I collect it
I collect contact information for the person or people who are the decision makers for the ceremony I am writing so I can check drafts of the ceremony and confirm changes.
I collect venue details to make sure I will be at the correct place and time for the ceremony. I also have these so I can contact the venue if necessary.
I collect information about you or the person the ceremony is for so I can write a detailed ceremony.
GDPR Compliance
Information collected is used only to create the ceremony you have asked for. Sharing information is only done with your permission with people who are required for a successful ceremony.
Information is kept for a year to aid in the keeping of financial records and then shredded and disposed of carefully.
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
Contact forms
The forms I use to collect information for ceremonies are kept for one year and then shredded before being disposed of responsibly.
Forms used for initial contact are used to email/text/call you a maximum of three times and then shredded before being disposed of responsibly.
Cookies
If you leave a comment on my site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
We use Google Analytics to monitor site use to enable us to create a better user experience.

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

How we protect your data
Hard copies of information are kept in a locked box at my home for one year before shredding and disposing of responsibly.
Computer copies of the ceremony are kept on my laptop which is protected by Norton and Avast as well as a password to access the laptop itself.
What data breach procedures we have in place
If it becomes known that a data breach has occurred, I will make every effort to contact you and let you know what details may have been accessed.
