What Sort of Ceremony Do You Want?

Some Wedding Celebrants are quite the showman/woman/person. They can make the ceremony very much about them – which is fine if that pizzazz and excitement are what you want.

Other Celebrants are bubbly and friendly, but do not take all the limelight from you – the people getting married.

And other Celebrants, like myself, are quietly confident, a lot smiley and leave all the focus on you.

Though I can write a ceremony for those brides and grooms who are not fans of being the centre of attention. I am aware that social anxiety is very real.

So, ask yourselves, what sort of Wedding Ceremony are we aiming for?

What sort of venue do you have planned?

Your Wedding Venue may also affect your Wedding Celebrant choice. If you see a Celebrant that piques your interest, but you see that they mainly do festival style ceremonies and you are going for country house chic, then maybe their vibe won’t fit your venue.

Alternatively, if you are looking for a more relaxed Wedding Ceremony because you have chosen a summer meadow and you want to feel all Marc Jacobs Daisy Perfume, you want to be looking for a Wedding Celebrant who is all about that chilled hippy energy.

However, if you really like a Celebrant that maybe doesn’t fit your venue, still contact them, and have a chat about your plans and venue and see what they say.

Read Their Reviews

Okay, I am not the only one who scours reviews online when buying stuff. I am curious as to how other people have found the product. And you should be curious as to how other people found your Wedding Celebrant.

Reviews for the Celebrant can be found on their Facebook or Business Google pages or sometimes on Wedding vendor directories that they may be listed with.

Look for words or phrases that are important to you, such as friendly, caring, helpful, honest, funny…you get the idea. This will help you get a feel for your Celebrant.

Do You Feel Comfortable With Them?

About now, you probably have a shortlist of Wedding Celebrants that you like or maybe one that you are obsessed with and must have.

Either way now is the time to get in touch with them. Send an email or give them a call. Most Celebrants will chat with you for up to an hour so you all can decide if you like each other.

Yes, they have to like you too.

Why?

Because the better you get on and the more comfortable you feel talking to your Wedding Celebrant, then the better the ceremony will be. And the reason for that is, that you will be more open when you are talking about your relationship and how you arrived from that first meeting to where you are now.

Don’t worry, not everything you talk about goes into the ceremony, but the conversations you have, help the Celebrant get a feel for your personalities and all that information goes into the writing of your ceremony.

This makes the Wedding Ceremony itself more your style, more your energy, more you.

And that is exactly why you have chosen to have a Wedding Celebrant Ceremony.

Like Them – Book Them

This might seem obvious, but sometimes we say we are going to do something and then distractions get in the way.

Good Wedding Celebrants, like other top Wedding Suppliers, get booked up sharpish. So, if you find a Celebrant that ticks all your boxes – BOOK THEM!

Most Celebrants require a deposit to hold the date in their diary. Once I have your deposit and booking form, that day is all about you in my diary. I will do no other ceremony on that day because I want to make sure my focus is all on you.
